Please leave comments on how you would like NZPUGCharter changed. When everyone is happy, a party date can be set!
How is the different from what was supposed to go onto the About page?
-> DannyAdair: I would think of the About page as being an easy to read history of the society.
- There are some things in the Charter, that I'd suppose are a little too strictly worded. E. g. the meetings' rhythm, date/time, etc. I've seen in previous clubs/societies that these things can/should be regulated, but not in the Charter itself. Sometimes (e. g. meetings) need to be managed on a more flexible schedule, which may be then in breach of the Charter ...
-> DannyAdair: I removed these restrictions (including the "show of hands" voting which wouldn't apply to online meetings)
- Rule 11: How about mentioning here the PSF or FSF as a benefiting body of funds upon discontinuing NZPUG Inc.?
-- GuyKloss 2008-08-29 15:27:08 -> DannyAdair: They are not NZ organisations
though I find that a good idea.
- The charter needs to clarify that all meetings may be conducted as online meetings, i.e. strongly increased distance between chairs.
-- DannyAdair 2009-02-05 14:38:00 -> DannyAdair: This is now clarified in an introductory sentence to Meetings.
- Rule 4: Add note about leaving, that the notice to leave can be handed in through eMail as well. Do we need to add that the "committee is satisfied that the notice is genuine" if it's for example not signed digitally?
-- GuyKloss -> DannyAdair: I clarified "written notice" as "(email or letter)". I skipped the authentication problem - that's not less of a problem with a letter.
