Grant Paton Simpson: "SOFA Statistics - Developing, packaging, and promoting a Python open source project"
- SOFA Statistics is a new open source project built with Python
(http://www.sofastatistics.com). Grant will talk about what he is learning along the way, including:
- Using wxPython
- Making python installer packages - debs and Windows installers (using NSIS)
- Using Sourceforge, Freshmeat, and Launchpad (and Bazaar)
- SOFA Statistics is a new open source project built with Python
- Open Discussion around the technologies/providers mentioned in the talk. Your experiences, recommendations etc.
Grant's presentation will take approximately 1 hour, the discussion the rest.
